Job Summary: The general function and responsibility of this full-time professional position is to provide state-of-the-art expertise in tobacco prevention, tobacco-related health promotion and tobacco treatment to Healthy Androscoggin and in our local service area. This individual will also oversee and implement the tobacco minimum common program requirements of the Healthy Maine Partnership grant, and will serve as a resource for clinical practices, municipalities, and other organizations in the service area. The Tobacco Coordinator will report to the Physical Activity, Nutrition and Tobacco (PANT) Manager. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years combination of education and work experience in prevention planning, public health and tobacco prevention/ cessation required. Bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field preferred. Tobacco Treatment Specialist training also preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, ability to speak before groups, and ability to pay close attention to detail are needed. Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
