Get Fit & Win is a FREE program designed to encourage Androscoggin County residents to start or continue exercising-any way you like! Successful participants are eligible for cash drawings of $100, $250, and $500 and other great prizes from local businesses!

• A FREE Recreational Opportunities Guide, which contains hundreds of ways and local places where you can get active....
• Daily activity logs which be downloaded from our website
• Periodic emails with handy physical activity tips
• A list of community events to help you get active.

To sign-up:

1. Register On-line starting now! You can also call Healthy Androscoggin at 795-5990 to register. When registering, you will need to choose your current activity level and goal from one of two categories:
   • 30 minutes per day, 3 days a week
   • 30 minutes per day, 5 days a week
   • 45+ minutes per day, 5 days a week
     
2. If you sign up with an exercise buddy and record at least three times that you exercised together, you will be eligible for a special cash drawing of $250.
3. Get out and exercise for 7 weeks. You can exercise anytime and anywhere, selecting the type of activity that works best for you. Just make sure to record your exercise on the activity log.
4. Return the activity log to Healthy Androscoggin and attend the Get Fit and Win summer celebration on August 5th at the Bates College Amphitheater (see details below).

Eligibility Requirements for Cash Prizes:

• Must identify current activity level and goal
• Must record any physical activity for 7 weeks (log sheet provided) and return completed log to Healthy Androscoggin via email, fax, or regular mail (see log for details)
• Must live, work or go to school in Androscoggin County and be 18 years of age to win cash prizes (other prizes available for those under 18).
• Must be present at the Get Fin and Win Celebration (details below)

Get Fit & Win Events

• Get Fit & Win Kick Off Walk/Run -- Monday, June 9th at 5pm -- Bates College Track on Russell St in Lewiston. Get Fit & win participants will receive a free pedometer and can pick up their Get Fit & win materials. Then walk or run at the track at your own pace.
• Get Fit & Win Final Celebration -- Tuesday, August 5th at Bates College. Come at 5pm to walk the Russell St track or arrive at 5:30pm for the celebration at the Amphitheater next to Lake Andrews (the puddle). Remember to return your log sheet to Healthy Androscoggin before July 31st to be eligible for prize giveaways at the Final Celebration.
